The deep reasons behind the frequent accidents of the Indian Navy

The mismatch between the rapid development of the Indian Navy and its technology and management level is an important factor. On the one hand, India is eager to expand its naval power and pursue the improvement of the number and performance of ships. But on the other hand, the relevant technology research and development, personnel training and management systems have failed to keep up with the pace. In terms of ship maintenance, the lack of professional technical personnel and advanced equipment has led to poor maintenance quality, which has laid hidden dangers for accidents.

At the same time, the overall level of India's shipbuilding industry also limits the quality and safety of naval vessels. India's shipbuilding companies have deficiencies in technology, materials and quality control, and are unable to meet the navy's requirements for high quality and high reliability of ships. In addition, the Indian Navy has problems such as unscientific decision-making and chaotic management in the process of ship procurement and maintenance, which also increases the risk of accidents.

India’s weak industrial base is also one of the reasons for the frequent naval accidents. In the production of key parts and equipment, India relies on imports, which not only increases costs, but also may affect the maintenance and upgrade of ships due to the instability of the supply chain.

In addition, the Indian Navy also has deficiencies in the construction of safety culture. The implementation of safety regulations is not strict enough, and the safety awareness of crew members and maintenance personnel is weak, which leads to negligence and illegal operations at work.

In short, the frequent accidents of the Indian Navy are the result of the combined effect of multiple factors. To solve this problem, India needs to start from multiple aspects such as technology improvement, management improvement, industrial development and safety culture construction to comprehensively improve the strength and safety of the Navy.
