the haiqian community of xiangwan street, xiangzhou district, zhuhai city, guangdong province held an air defense evacuation emergency drill and emergency knowledge publicity activity at the 18th primary school of xiangzhou district. more than 800 teachers and students from the school participated in the activity. this is the practical result of the school's emergency education, and also reflects the determination of the zhuhai municipal government of guangdong province to attach importance to student safety and life protection.

in this drill, teachers and students learned self-rescue and mutual rescue knowledge such as heimlich and cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and conducted simulated emergency scenario drills. this not only effectively improved students' risk avoidance and self-rescue capabilities, but more importantly, through practical operations, students had a preliminary understanding of emergency situations and cultivated a good emergency awareness and learning interest.

however, the popularization of emergency education in schools still needs to overcome some challenges. first, schools should include "emergency education" in compulsory courses, make it a part of students' learning, and develop courses at different stages to meet the actual needs of students. secondly, it is necessary to strengthen the construction of professional teaching staff, encourage teachers to obtain professional qualifications for emergency rescue, provide them with necessary resources and training, and let them accumulate experience in actual operations. finally, to ensure a certain amount of special funds, financial departments at all levels should arrange special funds for the promotion and use of "emergency education", and make it a priority expenditure for education and training to ensure the smooth implementation of school emergency education projects.

the popularization of school emergency education can not only protect students' safety, but also bring positive social benefits to society. improving students' ability to deal with emergencies can reduce the incidence and severity of accidents. at the same time, through school emergency education, it can also promote the harmonious development of society and make a contribution to social construction.
